Three Month Intensive Part Time Certificate Program
This program is designed to prepare students and professionals planning to enter the North American university system. Students are offered the chance to write an unofficial TOEFL exam both on paper and on computer several times a term.
Admission Requirements for TOEFL
TOEFL Score: 500 (CBT: 173)
TOEIC Score: 650
TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication)
Three Month Intensive Part Time Certificate Program
TOEIC program teaches students the skills they need to achieve the highest TOEIC score possible by teaching English for both real life and business. The most contemporary materials are used and students have many opportunities to practice similar exercises to those on the official TOEIC exam as well as to do in-class practice TOEIC exams.

University Preparation Program
(Three Month Intensive Full Time Diploma Program Including Practicum)
)
This program is intended for advanced-level students who plan on studying at a North American university or college. UPP offers an intensive introduction to the academic skills required for success in an English speaking, post-secondary context. By reading and responding to real academic texts, students will improve their reading speed and skills. Students will also learn to summarize key ideas in written texts and audio-visual presentations, and to formulate their own evaluation of this material. Students will improve their writing and speaking skills by constructing and assessing arguments in written assignments and classroom discussions. Students will begin to develop the skills needed to produce coherent and dynamic oral presentations.

Full time - (27 hours per week) Monday-Thursday- 9:00-4:00 and Friday 9:00-12:00
Part time - AM(15 hours per week) Monday-Friday- 9:00-12:00
Part time - PM(15 hours per week) Monday-Thursday - 1:00-4:00 and Friday 9:00-12:00
Part time - PM(12 hours per week) Monday-Thursday- 9:00-12:00
Extra classes free of charge
All students can attend extra classes after school at no additional charge.

Medical Insurance
Medical Insurance is mandatory for all students. Students are advised to purchase Medical Insurance in their own country. If you arrive in Vancouver without Medical Insurance you must purchase it upon arrival. Medical treatment is expensive in Canada even for minor injuries and all visitors are cautioned to buy Medical Insurance. Medical insurance - C$ 1.80 per day.
2007 Start Dates
School is open all year round. For General English, Business English, English for Academic Purposes, TOEFL and TOIEC preparation courses students are encouraged to start on dates listed below (1st Monday of the session), but they can also start on 2nd or 3rd Monday.
