Homestay ( staying with canadian family)
Staying in a Homestay will give you an excellent opportunity to practice your English conversation skills and experience Canadian culture and family life. Homes are safe, secure, inspected and approved by our Homestay Program Coordinators. We will always be available to assist you whenever you have questions or want to talk.
The host family provides basic information on how to function in Canada such as: how to use the bus system to go to and from school, where to shop, and how to get to such places as the local library, the neighborhood, recreation center etc.
We also provide referral and placement services should you require a hostel, hotel, apartment or other accommodation. We offer to find a home for you with a host family that will suit your needs and preferences. You will become a special member in a Canadian family that will welcome you and help you to feel more at home in Vancouver.
Homestay is simple and inexpensive.
- You have a private bedroom, 3 meals a day and use of house facilities.
- You will be provided with a clean, comfortable, private room.
- The room will be equipped at least with a desk, bed and closet.
- You will try many different types of food.
(Please tell your Canadian family what you like and dislike).
Homestay Check in and out Policy
- All classes start on Monday.
- We suggest you to check in on out either Saturday or Sunday in order to adjust to your new environment If you check in on a Saturday, the check out day will be Saturday.
- If You come few days earlier or stay few days longer, you have to pay extra for each day ( C$30 per day).
